If there is urgency and timely surgery is crucial, this is how to get the patient into theatre eg. bumping of cases or opening another theatre
- Discuss with Theatre NUM
- Discuss with Anaesthetist
- In Charge Anaesthetist to Decide on Order of Cases – they will see the patients
- If no success, ask the Consultant to get involved by ringing the anaesthetist in your theatre and NUM (consultant to consultant discussion, not registrar to registrar)
- Options
- Discuss with Ann Williams options of second theatre, transfer to another campus, transfer to another hospital
- Discuss with Dan or Phong to further escalate
