Overview of Sim
The simulator uses real instruments and anatomically correct models combined with highly realistic graphics with haptic feedback to closely replicate performing arthroscopy on a patient. It is aimed to help improve arthroscopic skills for trainee surgeons. It has been validated by several studies as the most realistic arthroscopic simulator on the market and is the only one of its kind in Australia. We have the Knee, Shoulder, Ankle and Fundamental Skills modules available. There are multiple diagnostic & therapeutic procedures that can be performed on it.
The Sim provides data, objective feedback and a case report from each procedure performed. Attached is a brochure for your reference that with more details about modules, instruments, software, reports and validation studies.
