Biography
Mr Adrian Talia is an orthopaedic surgeon who subspecialises in foot and ankle surgery. He holds a consultant appointment at Western Health across Footscray, Sunshine and Williamstown hospitals, where he manages elective and trauma patients and trains junior doctors and orthopaedic surgeons.
Mr Talia completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine with honours and a Doctor of Medicine with distinction at the University of Melbourne. He also holds a Master of Surgery from the University of Sydney and a qualification in surgical anatomy, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. After a trauma fellowship, he completed foot and ankle fellowship training at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford and the Swiss Ortho Center in Basel.
His surgical work includes ankle replacement, joint preserving surgery for ankle arthritis, hindfoot fusion and deformity correction. He researches and publishes in foot and ankle surgery, orthopaedic trauma and surgical education, reviews for journals and supervises foot and ankle fellows.
