Foot and Ankle

The foot and ankle team manages the full range of foot and ankle conditions, including complex trauma, Lisfranc and calcaneal fractures, total ankle replacement, deformity correction, forefoot surgery, arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction.

Fellowship

Current Research

  • Outcomes of Lisfranc fixation with articular bridge plating combined with suture tape ligament reconstruction.
  • How accurately MRI reports predict syndesmotic injury, compared with findings at surgery.
  • Reviews of the management of Lisfranc and displaced intra-articular calcaneal fractures.

Past Research

Earlier work includes minimum five-year results of hallux valgus surgery using a validated patient-reported outcome tool, and reference values for the normal Lisfranc joint on weightbearing CT.
