Biography
Mr Sasha Roshan-Zamir is Head of Foot and Ankle Surgery at Western Health, with public clinics at Footscray and Williamstown hospitals, and Chief Supervisor of the department’s AOA accredited Clinical Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery. He graduated with honours from Monash University in 2005, holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy from the University of Melbourne, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in orthopaedic surgery in 2014.
His training included six months at Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, Oregon, an orthopaedic trauma fellowship at Western Health, a foot and ankle reconstruction fellowship at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, six months of minimally invasive foot surgery training in Bordeaux, and a hip and knee reconstruction fellowship at the University of Alberta Hospital in Canada. He treats bunions, hallux rigidus, flat foot, ankle instability, arthritis and sports injuries of the foot and ankle.
Mr Roshan-Zamir supervises medical students, junior doctors and orthopaedic trainees at Western Health and has published on ankle syndesmosis injuries, hip fracture care, hallux valgus and Lisfranc injuries. He speaks Persian.
