Biography

Mr Camdon Fary is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in the Hip and Knee unit at Western Health and a co-supervisor of the Western Health Advanced Arthroplasty Fellowship. He is also Associate Director of the Musculoskeletal Clinical Institute at Epworth.

He completed his surgical training in Melbourne in 2009, followed by two years of fellowship training in hip and knee surgery in Lyon, France and Oxford, UK. He trained further in hip arthroscopy and anterior hip replacement with Mr John O’Donnell. His qualifications include BSc (Hons), MB BCh BAO, FRACS (Orth) and FAOrthA.

His clinical work covers anterior and revision hip replacement, robotic-assisted knee replacement, hip and knee arthroscopy and ACL reconstruction. He is undertaking a PhD at the University of Melbourne, with research in robotic surgery, sensor-assisted knee replacement, biometric monitoring and prehabilitation. He teaches and examines medical students and trains orthopaedic fellows and registrars as an AOA Director of Training.
