Biography
Mr Brett Jackson is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in the Hip and Knee unit at Western Health, with public appointments at Footscray Hospital and Williamstown Hospital. He is a co-supervisor of the Western Health Advanced Arthroplasty Fellowship and has been in practice since 2006.
He trained in Melbourne and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2006. He then completed international fellowships at Oxford, Cambridge and London, with a focus on joint replacement, knee reconstruction and computer-assisted surgery. He holds the MBBS and BSc and is a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
His work covers hip, knee and shoulder surgery for arthritis and sports injuries, including hip and knee replacement, robotic-assisted knee surgery, ligament reconstruction of the knee and shoulder arthroscopy. He serves as Orthopaedic Training Supervisor for the West of Melbourne.
