Biography
Dr Daniel Sydenham is an orthopaedic surgeon and Deputy Head of Orthopaedics at Western Health, based at Sunshine Hospital. He studied biomedical science and pharmacology (Honours) at the University of Adelaide, graduated in medicine from the University of Melbourne in 2005, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in orthopaedic surgery in 2013.
Dr Sydenham completed three international shoulder fellowships in Oxford, Rennes and Milan, as well as hip replacement training in Zurich. His practice covers shoulder and elbow surgery, including arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair, stabilisation and joint replacement, as well as hip and knee surgery and trauma reconstruction for adults and children.
He trains future Australian surgeons, has published in peer-reviewed journals and presents at national and international conferences. He is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, the British Elbow and Shoulder Society and the Girdlestone Orthopaedic Society.
